As a leader in the restoration industry, SERVPRO of South Atlanta knows timely mitigation is the key to reducing and recovering damaged items. Paper that has been damaged by fire or water can deteriorate rapidly. Valuable files and irreplaceable documents can be lost forever, without proper handling. Our technicians are trained to use the latest, most advanced technology available for document recovery. We use the same techniques recommended for drying water damaged books by The Library of Congress.
With our custom drying chamber, SERVPRO of South Atlanta restoration professionals use vacuum freeze-drying technology to vaporize the water in affected items. Often, this process can recover even the most delicate items, such as photographs, x-rays, business archives and family bibles.

Document Restoration Services SERVPRO Offers
Vacuum Freeze Drying is the process of freezing moisture damaged documents using various vacuums and pressures to achieve sublimation. Sublimation by definition is the direct conversion of a solid into a gas without going through a liquid stage.
Digitizing is the process of changing paper records into digital documents. Digital documents are quickly becoming the standard in many, if not all, industries. Digital documentation along with a back-up system is eliminating the need to have large file storage rooms and minimizing the chance of loss of important documents in a disaster situation.
Gamma Irradiation is a process that is used for cleaning, disinfecting and decontaminating documents and other goods. In a CAT 3 loss, documents are not only deteriorating but also infected with all types of bacteria. This is most common in sewage backup or storm situations.
Certified Destruction is unfortunately, many times necessary when dealing with contaminated documents. SERVPRO of South Atlanta will guarantee certified destruction, giving you peace of mind, should the need for this arise. We understand the importance of protecting proprietary information and brand image. You can rest assured in SERVPRO of South Atlanta’s ability to protect your business and documents.
